The Oscars

So the awards last night actually had good movies in them. For example Syriana and Crash are the best two films i have seen outside of goal this year. I include goal in this discussion becase its a great sports film with sparked a debate between me and a mate about how realistic where the women from newcastle. I think that most of them are orcs, partly due to lack of sun and the mass amount that theycan drink. He actually has been there and told me differently. I still dont trust him about that. Anyway i have noticed something that most media has missed. Sure there are a lot of politcal films release this past year, i believe i deserved it after having to live through three yearsof shitty blockbusters..... Matrix, Lord of the fucking rings i hope when those fans grow up they realise that they spent the best part of 5 years oggling over a film that will be endlesly repeated. Oh and Elijah wood is a XXXX. Anyway so this year 3 6 mafia won an oscar for the song its hard out here to be a pimp. Im suprised they didnt win for the film that they were in it was released this year. I guess the academy doesnt recognise movies that went straight to dvd. Im glad they won because that song was an integral part of the film. Really moving in the sense that it was the same stupid gangsta raps but in a way that reflected the montage scenes in rocky 4. (for me those montge scenes are the best thing ever captured on film, in fact i will watch it after this.) The fact that rap can now be used properly in films is a reasurring thing.
Of Course Eminem won a couple of years ago for Lose Yourself, which is a good song. With hip/hop emerging in film who will win in the next few years? My guess for best song in a film in 2006?......
