Cheated Hearts
So My Camera broke today, well I don’t know when it broke in fact. Fran has had the same problem and to be honest I don’t really think it is that’s bad. Now for the past year or so it’s been attached to my hip or bulbous ass if you want to be a dick about it. Virtually every time I have been out it’s been on my person, sometimes I have even ditched my phone instead so I can keep my trusty camera. I was a lot more likely to take photographs of hot women than get there numbers. It’s partly due to my designated wingman/hitch persona that I have made my own. Seriously I’m the Phillip Seymour Hoffman of the dating game. When will my Capote come God Damn it. I digress; it has enabled me to remember things about the night before with such clarity that I even began to think that I can never black out. It’s strange that in conjunction with amnesia of my birthday party, seriously I can’t remember a thing; people tell me that this is a good thing. I wake up thinking that I whipped my dick out and sang songs from the Sound of Music. Surprisingly I am not that mad, sure I will get it fixed but at the moment, I feel like an albatross has been lifted off my neck. Now don’t get me wrong I do like the feeling of capturing moments and I always will but it will be nice to only go out with one hang-up. Too many nights have been internally ruined by me either playing the ipod music quiz in a club or running around taking pictures. Sometimes I just needed to be a little more selfish and take care of me. I will go out (probably this Friday with the idea of entertaining in the old fashioned sense than anything else. Just like Rob pointed out 30 years ago our parents where going out in hotel bars and hanging out there, they didn’t need fancy gadgets to have fun and neither do I.

An Example of What Will Be On The New Blog
So in a fit to take some time of trying to come up with a semi feasible way of managing Rob’s task of writing a dfa 1979 review thing I have come up with ten songs that make me feel like a man or more manly. This is piggybacking of an article that I read in GQ where various celebrities and media heads listed their favourite manly songs. I only agreed with about 2 of them which could be because of my strange tastes or just the fact that these where men in GQ magazine. Anyway I decided to waste some time and write about my top ten manly songs. First let me explain how some of these songs relate to how I view a cool man. Either it is a suave and sophisticated fellow, imagine a James Bond. Now the other type of man I would like to be is the rough and rugged type such as Kurt Russell or any stereotypical drunk dude that fights and has cool stubble. Or Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry and all the spaghetti westerns, you know what I mean the anti – hero. Also the list had to be trimmed from 25 to 10 and the key caveat was that each song had to have an immediate impact it couldn’t just build up slowly.
So in Alphabetical order:
Arctic Monkeys – Cigarette Smoke (The song is about a strip club, where one would probably find the Kurt Russell character)
The Hives – Main Offender (The song that precedes a big fight that Bond has with a bunch of goons)
Kings of Leon – Four Kicks (Kurt’s favourite drinking band)
Klaxons- Gravity’s Rainbow (still not sure how they got in but congratulations, the rapturous ending of the Bond fight above. This scene would have to take place in a Russian club for the music to have its true impact)
Louis XIV – Finding out True Love is Blind (Could work for either man, Bond could use it at the end of the film whilst getting his mack on with a hot inter-racial (is that the correct term?) girl) or (Kurt could use this when the barmaid of the local watering hole finally gets her chance with him since he has been left tied up by the bad guy)
Motorhead – Ace of Spades (This is the cue music whenever Kurt blacks out and starts to kick some ass. Maybe he throws some guy into picture of Kenny Rodgers and onto a stack of chairs, he then says that he’s knows when to fold.)
Queens Of The Stone Age – First it Giveth ( This can be used during a car chase scene with Bond in a gorgeous Aston Martin whilst the German Bad Guy (maybe his name is Jens) is driving his shitty little BMW or Benz.) (I really could have chosen about 10 different songs from this band)
The Rakes – Guilt. (A key component for these songs has to be honesty in the lyrics and the line "I found paradise in between her thighs" is something that a real man would admit. Especially since she wasn’t that good looking. Who else but Kurt could use this, Bond never ever nailed ugly broads.)
The Ramones – Commando. ( You would think I would choose Kurt for this song but due to the political comments in the song and the overall military stomp it has to be for Bond. He part of the ministry of defence he has to be part of this whole deal.)
The Strokes – Reptillia. (I’m halfway through the song and I’m beginning to change my mind it seems that the bridge is the only thing that really works for this but I need to stick to my guns and that is why Kurt would get this song at the end of his film driving away in his muscle car into the Californian sunset.

I'm Talkin To You
Sorry for the delay but i managed to get on at last. Seriously it was like an episoe of the krypton factor to get onto this website. so in order to celebrate new readers to this blog. Im kinda vain like that. I have to run through certian things.
1) the titles of the posts have nothing to do with the post itself its just a song thats on my mind at the time.
2) Thanks to will for the hour and a half conversation ranging from marques houston to the vmas. And i got him to watch ray mears.
3) Ibrahim and Fran for lunch/tea slash nutella buscuits. Who would have thought that nutella with those breadsticks plus a drink would the food of the gods.
4) Potential friday night madness.
5) Jens for organising the bday bash and rob for putting up with my whining and emo nonesense.
I'll get the pics up pronto especially since i will need you guys to pass on my new blog to your friends. I am starting a writing blog which is mostly about music but i guess will be my soapbox rant thing in order to get my creative juices flowing and just make a few people laugh.
laters.
